Our timeline
meet cute in Paris
Where better to kick off our celebration than in the City of Love? We'll get all most of our cliches out of the way in a few days of informal fun. We'd love to show you some of our favorite spots, and have everyone get to know each other—so if you're arriving early, join us! Here's our rough plan, weather permitting:
get me to Giverny
The morning before the big day, we'll head to Giverny, about an hour's drive/train ride from Paris, and a 10 min drive to the venue. Here's the plan for the day:
Visit Monet's House and Gardens
- Visit the beautiful, historic grounds where Monet painted his famous water lilies
- We've booked a group visit — let us know if you'd like to join!
Picnic in the park
- Get refreshed, then grab a bite from Au Coin du Pain'tre or Gourmandises de Giverny — be aware, it's a small village, and both close at 7:00PM!
- Join us in the nearby park for a casual welcome picnic

After the festivities, we can't think of a better way to kick off married life than with brunch and a relaxing afternoon lounging poolside and playing pétanque (11:00-14:00). If you've RSVP'd to attend, please plan your transit in advance so you don't miss the fun (see the FAQ for more)!
